Memphis and Saqqarah - Half Day Tour

Step back over 4500 years in time… This half day tour will take you to the remains of Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt, and then onto the Saqqarah where the Step Pyramid of Zoser lies - the Pharaohs’ first pyramid to be made of stone.

Our qualified Egyptologist guide will collect you from your hotel in the morning, and drive you to the village of Mit Rahina to visit Memphis. Memphis was founded by King Menes and was capital of the unified Upper and Lower Egypt and centre of rule and culture for over 3000 years. You will see the stunning 10m long statue of Ramses II and the ruins of the City. Continue the drive to Sakkara cemetery and visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. It wasn’t just the first stone building in ancient Egypt but the world!

Please note: Occasionally actual days of operation are subject to change. If this is the case we will endeavour to book a day as close as possible to your original preferred day. Should this not be acceptable a full refund will be made.
